As President of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), Austin Section, it is both an honor and pleasure to welcome you to the website. NCNW Austin Section is a voluntary non-profit membership organization founded in Austin in 1946. The Austin section focuses on family and community as well as promoting health, education, leadership, and entrepreneurial endeavors for minority women and youth. We fulfill our mission through research, advocacy, community based services and programs. New topics such as Nutrition, Stress Reduction, Exercise and Weight Loss will be presented in section meetings by experts within our community. Moreover,we fully support First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move Campaign! Join us as we set and achieve new goals this year.
